In this section we really get into the nuts and bolts of the BluesBlock Method. I'll show you how to find the Anchor Position for any minor key blues solo. You will use your fist BluesBlock and understand the importance of dynamics to help you create interesting licks. Finally you will understand the importance of Chord Progressions for creating intentional solos.
Here we will brush on some basic, but very useful, music theory. By the end of the lesson you will understand where Scale Degrees come from and why they are easier to use than letters when learning basic music theory concepts. I will also show you how they connect the BluesBlock to the underlying Chord Progression.

Let me walk you through the intentional construction of this 12 bar solo. It is great practice to formally construct a solo as it forces you to analyse what you are doing. With time this becomes more fluid and natural and leads the way to great improvisation skills.
